Our business philosophy is using natural resources wisely. We always build cabinets that will have a long and useful life, from materials grown and harvested in a sustainable way, using the best and most efficient practices of our craft. The durability of our cabinets is the key to our commitment to a more sustainable lifestyle. Our work is designed and built to last a lifetime – yours, mine, the lifetime of the tree that will replace the one that was cut to provide the material.
ECO-FRIENDLY WITHIN YOUR BUDGET
Working within our client’s budget, we always use the most sustainable and eco-friendly materials that we can. Building for the long term takes a little more time, and costs a little more, but in the end it’s worth it. Our wood comes 75% from sustained-yield timber. We can provide 100% FSC Certified materials upon request.
CONSERVATION & EFFICIENCY
We work as efficiently as possible, in order to conserve both material and energy. We have reduced our waste stream by more than 20% in the last three years, and much of our fine waste (dust and chip) is recycled as compost and mulch for organic gardening.
CRAFT & CARE
The money that you spend with us goes primarily for our craftsmanship and our care. We listen to our customers and are sensitive to their needs and values. We use the most efficient and appropriate tooling, from our state of the art CNC machining center to our timeless hand planes.
