Lignum Vitae has grown over the years from a one man shop to a highly respected company in the Bay Area.  In recent years, the addition of experienced managers has created a highly motivated team who provide quality work, on time and within budget. Our team has proven expertise in the design, drafting and the construction of quality custom cabinetry. We provide everything from kitchens to bathrooms, bedrooms to entertainment centers, desks to bookcases, hutches to playrooms tailor-made to meet your specific needs. 

Our staff is comprised of highly talented craftsmen and women dedicated to building quality custom cabinetry. Our goal is to provide customer service, management, clear communications with our staff, clients, architects, contractors, and subcontractors. To create a end project our customers our happy with and to keep building customer loyalty.

          History:  

Lignum Vitae opened and operated by Jim Martin. He has been in business over twenty five years, as a hands on craftsmen to managing a busy 11-20 person shop. Over the years he has always been dedicated to supplying quality services, cabinetry and building loyal customers.

We are located at:

1625 16th street, Oakland CA.

Our facility is approximately 8,000 sqft. with offices and a well equipped shop.

          Equipment:

We are equipped with the latest cabinet software allowing fast clear designs, plans and cut lists. Our shop is setup with traditional wood machinery such as our Martin sliding table saw, Edge bander, boring machines, blum hinge boring machine, just to name a few. We are constantly updating and upgrading equipment to meet our customers needs.
